A Quick Guide to Renting Projectors – Part 2

Tips on Choosing the Visual Equipment Rental for Your Needs

Hello again! In our previous article, we discussed some of the factors that you should consider when choosing a projector for a business presentation. Since there are a few more, we have decided to dedicate today’s blog post to them. So, what else do you need to think about when choosing visual equipment rental services?

Connectivity

The most popular way to connect a projector is via an HDMI or a VGA cable. HDMI supports High Definition signal and carries audio to the projector. However, VGA cables are still very popular. Other connections that might be used are SVHS, DVI, Composite, RGBHV, and HDBaseT. Check beforehand what you are using and what’s available at the rental establishment because there is nothing worse than being a cable short on the day of your big presentation.

Portability

Are you going to move the projector around? Make sure that you have the necessary equipment handy to help you move the projector as needed. It may sound obvious, but you shouldn’t overlook this point.

Image Size and Throw Distance

The image size that you’ll need will typically depend on the audience size. For smaller meetings, the most popular option is a 5ft or 6ft wide tripod screen. This will cover an audience from 1 to 60 people. To determine how big your screen should be, you need to measure the distance between the screen to the place where the audience will sit. The height of your screen has to be about 1/6 of that distance. The throw distance is the distance between the screen and the projector. Think about whether there are any restrictions regarding the placement of the projector. Most projectors have a zoom lens, which allows people to be placed within the throw distance. Venue and large conference projectors have interchangeable lenses which provide better flexibility.

So, if you are based in Kissimmee, FL and need a projector, turn to Jacko Tek Productions. We are a visual equipment rental company that offers affordable services to the people in the area. Call (407) 346-6323 today if you want to learn more.
